Fabia Monte Carlo Voice Control QH1

Hi all,

I have had my Monte Carlo for nearly a year now and loving it but have a query about the voice control button on the Amundsen Infotainment Console. I paid £30 to have this function added as on of the many optional extras when ordering the car but when I press it, it says I require an Activation Code from my dealer. I have spoken to my dealer about this and the say that it will only work if I have the Smartgate / Smartlink software installed which is another £100. Surely I shouldn't have to have a Smart Phone in order to have Voice Control in my car!?

Does any one else have this issue?
