Just bought a 2.0TSI Superb

Featured Replies

Just a quick Hi!

I am delighted to have just bought a mint 2.0TSI Estate from ‘The Zee’.

He has kept it beautifully and was a pleasure to deal with.

Lovely drive from Tunbridge Wells to Derby. Are there any of the other 112 2.0TSI owners on here?

Thanks! Had a lovely drive out in it today. What a great car. The engine is superb. The DSG is quite a pleasant surprise (Auto was not on my shopping list!)

Looks like we have more or less the same car, same year. Mine is an Estate. Has a few nice additions such as the pano roof. It’s my first Škoda and I am amazed at how good a car they have made. I love the look of the 4 tailpipes.

Any tips? I’ve not really explored the settings on the car computer yet?

Prior to finding one a mechanic friend was offering to ‘chip’ whatever one I got to 246bhp...not sure it’ll need it but past experience of doing this to diesels has been fantastic. Do you know anyone who has done this to a 2.0tsi?

We've had ours since Feb. 2013 & it was remapped (by AMD Racing) to 252ps about 2 months later. at 6K miles.

It;s just reached 26K miles this weekend & we are pleased with the extra performance & economy.

If you can find a Briskoda near your home who has a VCDS cable & laptop, you can have a few changes made to your car's computer, it's possible to enable a digital speedometer, & enable various other useful feature that are hidden in the car's software.

The build quality is better than we expected, & the enhanced performance nice to have, it's something of a sleeper.

FWIW we've driven quite a few newer cars recently  & we can't find a affordable replacement for the Superb.

Sounds good. It appears that the speed comes up on the dash digitally in km/h anyway, which I guess I can change to mph (maybe The Zee has already plugged it in?!).

I will do a few things, including the remap when I sell the Seat Alhambra I have bought this to replace...

Really pleased I waited for a 2 litre in the end.

Hi James,

It was good to meet you, your son and your father.  I hope you will be as happy with her as I have been for the past 5 years. She has always been a pleasure to drive and own and I have many fond memeries to look back on. As for the digital kph, I understand that it is a requirement in the UK to be able to display both. There was a post on here some time ago where the "funky tech" guys can do something by plugging in a bit of kit to change it, but I never bothered.

By the way she was treated to a polish with Meguiars Ultimate Polish followed by Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax about a month ago. So if you are too busy driving at the moment at least the body is well protected.

All the best, The Zee

Thanks. Yes your polishing has done a great job. She looks fantastic, with all the Derbyshire rain beading into nice small droplets...
