Spare wheel

Featured Replies

What spare wheel are you using for your alloy wheels giving that 1) it has to fit in the original recess, and 2) the car should run level in case of a blown tire ?

Standart felicia rims/tires are

165/70 R13/4,5J

175/65 R13/5,5J

175/60 R14/5,5J

All these were also used as spares and will fit into recess with no issues.

If you use larger diameter, they won't fit into recess. Even 175/65 R14 is too big.

When I had my 16v conversion with big front brakes and 14" alloys I used a standard steel spare. If I'd had a front wheel puncture I would have to have swapped a 14" from the back and put the spare on the back. Are your alloys/tyres significantly different in overall diameter to standard wheels?

I bought a new steel wheel (5.5J x 14 ET 38) and a new winter tire (175/60 R14). It was the best match I could find that fits the recess in the trunk. My alloy wheels are 6J x 14 ET36 with 185/60 R14 tires.
