Battery light plus strange clicking noise near dash

Featured Replies

I've had my fabia vrs mk2 nearly a year been fine all of a sudden my battery light has started intermittently started coming on sometimes whilst driving and a strange clicking noise like a short circuit or something any ideas ??

First thing is check the battery terminal tightness. Then on a 61 plate it might be new battery time.

Then after that not a clue.

?

Has you car needed the water pump / supercharger magnetic clutch replaced, the connector gets corrosion and can result in electrical issues.

Battery is new everything is in mint condition for it's age full skoda service history never seen anything clutch related automatic transmission I've not made any long trips recently could be needing a blast

I know it is a DSG.

The Water Pump has a magnetic clutch for the supercharger and the wiring there can get corrosion at the connector.

Just a suggestion when there is a possible earth issue.

But i know nothing about electrics so maybe someone with the knowledge will be along.

No worries thanks alot I'll just keep going till it packs in lol drives fine so I'll see what happens

Have you had the alternator checked? They can make the battery light, light!

A worn one will either flatten the battery or even overcharge and boil/kill a battery!
