Hello,

steering pump failed and had a new one fitted by my local dependable garage.

was out today, covered around 16 miles to reach my destination.

Returned to car, started pulled away, after about 3 minutes light came up on dashboard, steering was fine, pulled over, switched off, restarted light went out and all ok, has not come back on.

am I being paranoid ?

have also upgraded when work was done to a decent 60 amp battery, I previously had a 40 amp which kept going flat

Does the battery light illuminate on the dash when you switch on the ignition but go out when you start it?

Yes it does go out when started
