Clutch foot rest problems

Featured Replies

I've had my Octavia for just under a week now and I just can't get comfy while driving the problem being the clutch foot rest there's just no room for my size 10 foot to rest while it not on the clutch! I end up with my foot half perched on the foot rest and cramp in my leg because I can't straighten it

dose everybody else find it Ok and have anyone got any tip's for getting comfy?

Have you tried playing about with the seat height (if it's adjustable on yours), distance from the wheel and steering wheel height/distance adjustment? Strikes me you'd be happier with the seat and wheel well back, which would straighten out your leg, and possibly the seat down a bit - though I personally find the most comfortable position is with the seat quite high. Of course, with the seat well back there's no leg-room behind you.....

My shoe size is 10½ and I have no problems using the clutch foot rest. As suggested above, play with all the avfailable adjusters until you find a comfortable driving position.

thanks guys I've been messing about with the seat and I've got it a bit better, the probelm my be that i've never had a car fitted with a clutch foot rest before,

do you put your whole foot on the rest? or just your toes with your heal on the floor next to the clutch? that was i've been doing as I can't seem to get my foot straight onto it without it hiting the centre console

thanks

john
