straight through or cherry bomb?

Featured Replies

I want to make my exhaust as loud as possible which option is better? Straight through or cherry bomb ?  (1.9tdi) thanks!

@Gita_Monroe You'll never make a TDi "very loud" because the natural gas velocity is low (about 2/3 of what a petrol achieves at typical peak revs), and then the turbo absorbs some of the energy as well.

Please don't come round my way. It's nice and quiet after midnight. ;)

Hope you don't plan on doing long journeys, the horrible booming will do your head in.

Often thought that when on the motorway  and some user loud sports car comes past.

The horror, the horror...

Straight-through will make your tractor as loud as it can be, but it'll still sound like a tractor, diesels with loud exhausts sound naff, sorry, them's the facts of life sunshine.

Cherry bomb exhaust.... not heard that since the 90’s :D
