How to check coil packs

Featured Replies

Hey,

I've seen a lot of posts on the forums of problems caused by the fauly coil packs,

now I know the dealer is supposed to have replaced them,

but how do I tell if this has happened or not.

(Just bought an 02 vRS privately)

Where are they?

Are they easy to get to?

and if they're not done, will the dealer still change them if it's out of warranty?

thanks

-Stephen.

I heard somewhere that they are marked near the electrical connection but I couldn't see anything, the only other way to tell is to wip them out. See here for location:

See here for what to look for:

Btw, i found out recently that coil packs are under waranty for 5 years so no need to fret yet!
