I need a reader that can figure out the ABS error on my 2000 Octavia. Any suggestion for an affordable reader that works with this car and ABS? I have an ELM237 BT OBD reader but I can't use this to read ABS codes?

Might be worth adding where you are as you might find a local member with VCDS is willing to help :)

i don't see why this wouldn't, I use the VS550 and I can go into most options.

 

so for reading a ABS related code, yes it will work

 Vgate VS450 works perfectly for reading and deleting ABS-codes.
