A little help Engine failure

Featured Replies

Hello all,

I have a question if you can help me. Today I was driving on the highway with about 170-190 kmph. Suddenly check engine appeared and said engine failure please go workshop. I slowed down check engine dissapeared but EPC was on. When I got out of the highway and i was about 60 kmph, the motor sounded not round. So I went in a parking and stop the engine and start again and from there on nothing appeared and it was running normaly. Tomorrow I will make a test with VCDS to see if any error remained.

What could be the problem?

Regards

Sounds like one of the hamsters fell off of his wheel. Check with VCDS which one and let us know, someone will probably help you find the little bugger then.

OK, your big issue is the misfire, the other code is likely due to that.

What engine code and model do you have?

Has anything/any work been done on the car recently?

Did you notice anything weird before it happened the first time?

I didn't do anything recently. Only two months ago changed the spark plugs and that's all. But when I shut off the engine and started again all was ok. Today I went 180 to see if the problem appears again, but all was fine. I don't know what to say in the rest.

Sounds just like the injector failure I had on mine, very similar symptoms. Was there any smoke from the rear or fuel smell? I guess as that speed you may not have noticed!
