Using adaptors for smaller sizes is not recommended as they tend to not fare well due to vibration.

And for the sim card

Standard SIM card too.

When you ask about SIM card size, are you referring to the slot in the CD/DVD external module in the glovebox when you have the optional Premium WLAN with integrated high-speed LTE internet (about £400 option) because that takes a mini SIM I believe. I've not got that option but the car manual mentions mini SIM.

 

Note what most of us think of as a standard SIM is technically a mini SIM, then there's micro and nano. A full size SIM is a credit card sized thing :-) Anyone remember Motorola mobile phones in the mid 90s?

Yes but have got sorted, your right with the sim card size and the sd card is std size (about same size as a sd adapter).
