NEW SEATS FOR 2012 vRs

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a 2012 Octavia Vrs Tdi that I am happy with apart from the seats. The OE ones (mine are black leather) feel very uncomfortable, it’s like I’m sitting on something hard under my rear at the sides.

As I do mega miles (will be 30,000) this year whilst I want sports seats, comfort is a also a priority.

Does anyone know if 2005 Audi S4 recaro seats will fit or any other recommendations???

Last thing is where to get them fitted. I live in Yorkshire though travel most places from Nottingham up to North Scotland so can easily travel.

Otherwise the car is great, it’s remapped so quick, have lowered springs & adjustable Spax shocks so really handles. Just have some HR updated anti roll bars to get fitted (anyone know a good company to get them on the car?)

Any help will be really welcome

Seats are a really personal thing, so what's right one won't be right for another. Personally I fitted Golf Mk6 GT seats to my Octy Mk2 and found them to be brilliant. Looked great in alcantara and had better support.

As for fitment, I think you'll be OK. But if you're getting them from a breaker, go along with your passenger seat removed and try them for size first!

I helped on a few A6 seat questions a while back, around connectors etc - so on the basis that A6 seats looked to go in, A/S4 should be fine:

Just seen your ARB fitment question as well - any decent garage can get those fitted for you.

Rear one I found was quite an easy DIY though - front can be a bit more fiddly, but only really because it's quite a bit easier when the car is up in the air and you can properly work on it from underneath - so a lift really helps in this regard!
