Featured Replies

Does the S3have a heat reflective windscreen or as an option?

It looks like it does in this pic.

That's the metal film of the optional heated windscreen which also reflects heat. It's only noticeable under certain light conditions and on a bright sunny day it turns golden.

There is no separate heat reflective screen option per se but the standard screen also has some UV/IR protection.

Only had ours a few weeks so don't know how the reflective nature will perform in the sun. Used the heated screen a number of times, we haven't got a garage so ice and condensation have always been an issue in every car we've owned. It takes seconds to demist now instead of minutes. Only had light ice on the screen so far but again, seconds and it was gone. Shame they can't implement this technology in the side windows.

IME the screen does help keep the cabin cooler in Summer; I noticed it a few times when the car had been sitting in the sun all day.  My wife even mentioned it too.

As said above, it is incuded with the heated front windscreen.

It is standard on L&K models and an option on most of the rest.

Great thanks for replies. I missed the boat anyway as the car is now built!
