Recommend best remap for VRS?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have never had remap before so this is the first time, I did some search lots of different specialist not interested in a chip box but rather have a ECU remap. I saw on called "Celtics Tuning" gives the highest power output without change the turbo, intercooler, injector, exhaust and no blank EGR and I have phoned them to see what they can do but advise me to have the torque limit on to protect the engine and the gearbox, clutch too. But to me it seem bit silly because I see on Youtube Skoda Fabia VRS rate over 270bhp that must be a strong engine to have without a torque limit but what is actually torque limit?

How far in BHP & torque I can go without change the injector, turbo and etc.

I am aim to be a reliable car and no mpg loss to last me hope over 200,000 miles now currently with 68,000 miles

I hope someone can advise me to do next.

Thanks

Fab.

The 'best' is not going to necessarily be the most powerful. The more you push it the less reliable it will be as a general rule. If you can budget for clutch, dmf and turbo replacement in the future you can push it a bit more.

Thanks for the link. :thumb:

Frankly a generic torque-limited map will be just fine for you on an otherwise standard setup, 165 BHP is all you'll get on the standard turbo anyway. You don't need a custom map.
