Off road protection

Featured Replies

You already have a plastic engine cover fitted (almost identical shape of this sump guard)

If you are grounding out regularly then yes it would be worth the money, otherwise save your money

Depends on how many rough roads or country tracks you use. As we take the bear and the dog for walks and drives in country areas we included it. If your just cruising around town, you don’t need it.

The £189 would be better spent on the Rough Road Package which offers additional protection from the factory.

It's all plastic but covers almost all of the vulnerable parts underneath.

A 2mm steel sump guard is a little excessive unless your Kodiaq will spend more time off road than on, and even then it would have to be a long way off road to justify the extra 12Kg.

It’s all hype for a street cruiser.

I'd think so too. And not to insult the Kodiak, but if your are that long a way off road then I'm thinking you would want a "true"  or more dedicated off road vehicle that is really designed for the purpose...?

You're right silver, except the RR package is made of heave duty nylon which is MUCH tougher than plastic.

Kitten and I opted for it on our Karoq.

We don't go off road but thought that the option would be a good protector against salt and road grime during the cold winter months.   ;)
