Aerials

Featured Replies

I have a 13 plate Elegance 2.0l Diesel, it has a small sharkfin aerial on the back of the roof but at the front it has what looks like an aerial base, only recently purchased the car and have no idea if it should have a whip aerial there. Everything appears to be working but then again there is so many things onboard I am still trying to discover what is there. I will take a pic later to see if that would help.

Thanks in anticipation.

The rear shark fin is for Sat Nav. As for the front...um, it’s not standard as far as I know. What’s the history of the car? Could’ve been used for some type of radio equipment? Taxi, or other fleet type vehicle perhaps.

The radio ariels are in the rear screen I believe     Don't know whats the front ones for though  :shake:

SC03OTT, it was a lease car but there doesn't seem to have been any 'special' equipment fitted, no damaged trim and its where the old whip aerials used to be. I will have a close look tomorrow and take pics, by the time I got out tonight it was too dark.

Pictures may help

Yeah, that’s not standard. As for what it is?  Pass.

From the picture it doesnt look well sealed around the top?

Do you have any problems with water in the headliner?

Not really sure what its for either but more guess would be some kind of taxi/CB radio...
