VCDS Lite Activation

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have an issue with my Mk1 Octavia vRS which currently refuses to start, I have a fully licenced copy & Ross-Tech's & Micro-CAN but obviously this does not work on OBD2, I have an 3rd party KKL VAG-COM 409.1 usb lead this is working fine with VCDS Lite but needs activation to read all if any fault codes.

My question is if I register & purchase the full VCDS Lite is the activation code automatically generated & sent by email as Ross-Tech are closed for Christmas, therefore if the key is not automatically generated I will have to wait until the guys are back from their break.

Any advice greatly appreciated & apologies if I have posted this in the wrong forum.

Just to add if anyone has a full version who could read the codes I am in Woking/Surrey GU21 ***

Kind regards

Alex

Not sure, you could ask on the rosstech forum?

Otherwise, it might be worth adding where you are as a local member might have a compatible cable you could use/borrow :)

@BillyJim looks like the closest *active* member to you.

I did have some business in Guildford, but need the time to actually get myself up there.

Thanks bspman, I am mobile now have borrowed a car from a family member so no immediate rush think i'll purchase VCDS Lite when they guys at Ross tech are back, I'm at the pont of ordering a Haynes manual for the wiring diags as Im only getting 1.8v at fuse 28 & this should be 12v or there abouts but I have no idea where its fed from as that appears to be the fault to be honest its driving my MAD lol
