electrical gremlins?

Featured Replies

Driving home the other night near the end of a 300 mile trip, doing a steady 70-75mph on the motorway the water temp guage dropped off the scale. It didnt go down slowly it dropped like i switched the engine off. I carried on for a couple if miles to get to the sevices. The oil temp was also showing 60. Switched off the engine and checked the coolant and oil but everything looked ok. Started the car again and the water guage went straight to 90 again but the oil temp still showed 60. Hopped back on the motorway and the oil creeped up to 102.

All has been ok since. Any idea's?

The wife did  10 mile round trip to the shops yesterday and the temp guage went to max. A speed restriction symbol appeared with an exlamation mark and an exhaust system fault light is now on :(
