I’ve managed to be stupid enough to misplace my locking wheel nut key. Can I get away with buying a new key (provided that I don’t find it) or will I have to get the bolts professionally removed and new bolts fitted.

A nice person at a dealership might bring out the master set, see which you need to match your bolts,

and if you order from them maybe no charge more than the cost of the replacement from the parts desk.
