Brake disc size for caliper renewal

Featured Replies

Drivers side rear required.

Anyone know rear disc size for 2005 elegance estate 1.9pd.

The brake info has been removed from owl's info. ECP states it will be 255mm, but a local garage recons they can supply and fit a new TRW for around £110 but they say it is either 253mm 256mm and 260 or 270mm although i'm fairly sure it is not these last two.

And does anyone think this price is too cheap for a new TRW fitted? It is a garage that my mate uses - but he wouldn't know about this stuff.

Cheers

Check the PR code printed in your service booklet. See other thread for more detail.

You can also work back from pad style using ECP pics/fitment detail to compare and get the PR code that way.

Bosch and ATE brake online catalogs are also a good reference.

Mine is a 2005 tdi elegance only not an estate ...mine was 255 ....my auto parts store checked with reg number with a Skoda page they have access to .....caliper will be same size replacement .....discs and pads replaced both sides as replaced in pairs , all will be fine .....plus they can double check disc size when doing caliper and get parts immediately if near an auto parts place
