Every cloud has a silver lining

Hi all,

New to the forum, but a proud owner of a Skoda since 2015.

I previously owned an Octavia Estate  SE1.6 TDi from new. Sadly the car was written of aged only 2 and half years Old. I had done 55k miles and still had the original tyres. It gave me an around 70 mpg on a daily commute to my office. I even managed 85mpg when careful.

With my claim, However, I decided to treat myself and get a 2 year old,  Superb Estate SE Business. Considering the mileage I was doing it was a wise choice. Love the extra space, extra gadgets, Sat Nav, ACC, and a little bit more oomph and a sadly missed 6th gear. Sadly I don't get the same mpg. But have managed about 69mpg on a good commute, normally it returns 60mpg upwards. With a drive green score of 94 upwards.

Anyway. I am struggling to update the Satnav at the moment oops will have a browse and see if anyone has am answer to my dilemma.

Signing off

BOB

Hello Bob welcome to the Skoda forum shame about your other Skoda.

Nothing wrong with over 60mpg!  The Superb looks brand new!

Thank you for the replies. Looks like I may have had a careful previous owner on my Superb. It is in pristine condition for two years old with 28k miles. Lovely to drive. I do still miss my faithful Octavia the MPG, but not the 5 gear limit. I must admit the Octavia took the brunt of the crash well. Even being pushed sideways down the M25 for over a mile... I walked out without a scratch.
