Where to put the axle stands ?

I would like to put the whole car on axle stands cuase im gonna take of the brake callipers and paint them. But where should i put the axle stands so i wont do any damage to the car ?

Not on the rear beam, or below the boot. ;)

There are some good chassis points under the car, but it means jacking up with a trolley jack to be able to see them. :) At the front from memory there's some good areas alongside/near the dogbone mount chassis bolt. At the back I'm not so sure - Just avoid the rear beam itself. :D

For the front I usually jack the car using a trolley jack (block of wood with a V sat onto the sill where the OEM jack goes) then put axle stands under the bolts that hold the framework under the engine to the body. Its a M12 ish zinc plated bolt so you cant really miss it.

Do a search, its been asked before and there is a thread with pictures.

any ideas

I have stuck an axle stand under the rear beam before (one on each side)... whats the issue with doing that?
