Hi there, thought I’d join up here as on last looking at the Oz forum it wasn’t that well used. I’ve had my MY 2012 Superb 118TSi wag... excuse me, estate for just over a year now and though there’s been a couple of little niggles, on the whole I’m pretty happy.

Biggest waste of time in this climate though was the throng I held out for when on the hunt for this car, the panoramic roof. It’s either too blinkin hot here in Melbourne or bucketing down. Had it not been for a relative working as the service manager in the VW dealership, when the motor failed it could’ve been a very expensive toy as wel. Luckily he got one of his boys to take the motor apart to find it full of gunk and sand. Works perfectly fine now.

My wife did stick three litres of diesel in an empty tank, promptly followed by a full tank of 98 the other week. A couple of wobbles on start up from time to time three fills down the track but I’m hoping it should rectify itself.

Other than that, what a dream. Just wish the coffee cup holders weren’t near the electronics round the shifter. It was bought with a few of those not working but rectified by the dealer. Seems like an accident waiting to happen to me.
