Bye bye citigo

Featured Replies

Well after 2.5 years I have just VT’d the citigo, can take up to 4 weeks for them to collect apparently.

The car car has been what I hoped, cheap hassle free motoring, apart from repairing a puncture it’s not cost me anything in servicing or repair.

A few gripes I had with the package

non electric mirrors and not heated

cant see the top of the speedo

drivers seat not returning to previous position when letting rear passengers in.

Rear brakes squeaking when reversing in the morning.

I will miss the cheap tax, 60+mpg on my commute, and just how small

it is allowing me to squeeze through tiny spaces.

Logically I’ve replaced it with a BMW m135i, ive decided to go back to having a toy, especially as I will be doing around 5k Miles now.

I’ll still hang around the forums as they are second to none!

Yet another brisky skoda driver going beemer..

Its become the fashion :D

No matter which car I drive I always adjust steering wheel the way I can see the speedo.

But then it’s too high!

I don't think so. At least I can reach it. :D

Inspection done today, car will be collected next week. It’s been smooth sailing which is nice.

How did you start the whole VT process?

I'm asking as I suspect that's how I'll end my agreement as I will be looking to change cars in the summer of 2019 and my current finance agreement runs to October 2019.

Was the inspection rather detailed or was it just a cursory glance around to make sure nothing's fallen off? (I ask as I *may* have picked up a couple of scrapes and scratches:blush)

Just phone them up and tell them you want to VT, they will then send you a form to complete and return.

Inspection took about 30 mins, you are allowed fair ware and tear, they did pick up on some minor damage around the rear arch, the charge I have to pay is significantly less than expected though. Car will be collected on the 7th
