20k pa in a Citigo - Am I mad?

Featured Replies

just my experience.

ive had my citigo nearly a year and im projecting i will have done 25k a year by the time i get there. I intend to keep the car for another 2 years if not longer and i dont see myself moving jobs. I do a 70 mile commute a day half motorway, half country roads.

ive come from a 2 litre diesal and im suprised how enjoyable it has been. I get 50mpg+ at the pumps however hard i rag it, 55-60 if i behave. Ive had no issues and not even had to change tyres yet. It will sit at 80 all day on the moterway no problem, i dont get to work any later than i did with 170hp. The sound systems decent and the PID gives you enough tech to get by. My only  grumble would be the seats i dont find them that comfortable but not terrible enough for me to have changed them.

i paid 5k for a 14 plate citigo sport with 2 free services and 17k on the clock so i hardly see depreciation a problem. Ive budgeted 100 a month for depreciation with the mileage im doing and i bet even thats cautious. Ive seen the odd citigo atound with over 130k on the clock so i have every faith it will last the distance mileage wise.

So if you have a decent commute i think its one of the most cost effective ways of doing it for sure

Glad to hear it. All the research I've done suggests it's absolutely fine on the motorway.

Driving a fiat panda 1.2 until it arrives so I'm sure it'll be better than that!!!
