just put some led interior and side lights that I got cheap off eBay but now the light fault indicator has turned on, how do I get this to turn off?

It'll be the sidelights causing issues.

 

Depending on your car, you might be able to code the warning light out or you might need to add load resistors.

 

I think I've scanned this car previously and it's BCM is a 1K0 937 087, I'm not sure that'll be happy with coding but if you're about I can take a look.
