Hi all 

can anyone recommend the best headlight bulbs for my 13 plate Octavia elegance, h7s I believe they are not wanting super expensive but I’m wanting possibly whiter and brighter. Another question also what bulbs do the drls use? Can they be changed with a brighter and whiter version too?

Latest spec Phillips or Osram Xenon-filled bulbs.

You will get many differing views on lighting, as you will tyres. I have used ring Xenon 150 in the past in a different car and found them very good best have a look here, https://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/h7-55w-headlight-bulbs/?bulb_search=car&end=front

then read the descriptions, find a set to your liking and see if you can get them any cheaper anywhere else.

Osram night breakers were good when I had my MK2 FL. Not sure if halogen bulbs have improved much since.

PIAA Xtreme White Plus are about the best bulbs money can buy without upgrading to HID, but they are pricier than most.

I used some MTEC Super White in my 14 plate elegance, only a slight increase in range but, way whiter. Still got them if you want them but, they had 3 years use so, I don't know how long they'd last, pm me your address & I'll send them up.

think I’ll go for the Phillips racing vision they seem the brightest out of the lot and the price currently is very respectable, the drls/ sidelights for the Octavia what figment are they want to change them with a better set too
