Well here we go! First post by way of introduction. Acquired Skoda 130 Estelle Original Rally Car C155 BYR images on Google and my profile. Originally registered to Skoda, so ha had an interesting life. Plan which was started 18 months ago is to rebuild to original condition. Shell due out from final painting in a few weeks so hoping to connect on Forum to help source a number of parts that need replacement but are not readily available. When completed plan to Historic Rally UK and Europe. Any help or questions I can answer will be pleased to help, in particular with anyone who has a 130 project starting or in progress, have already learnt a lot! 130RallyJohn

Hi Superb170, Thanks for the time to acknowledge the project. Have quite a number of items to see if I can get help sourcing, but first want to finish reading back through previous posts as there appears to be some helpful contacts there.

Hi John, great to hear of another Estelle rally car. I have seen your car in action in the past at Goodwood and Race Retro. I have owned a similar project for far too long but am now embarking on the build. I don't have a car with the history of yours, but am building a replica of one of the Barum  sponsored cars as my car is already yellow. I have gleaned many parts and information over the years also so it would be great to pool knowledge. Best regards, Chris

John,  it's good to have you on the forum.  Going back many years, in my younger days, I followed rallying all over the UK and remember well the early Skoda rally cars.  Also the early 2 stroke Saabs and Wartburgs.  Happy days

Hi saw this post re C155 BYR. I bought this from Skoda and prepared it gor 1985 Lombard RAC rally. Used it for a number of years in National Championship. Also competed in 1988 RAC rally helping Skoda works team to 3rd place manufacturers award. Car got resprayed yellow to accommodate sponsor.
