SOLD SOLD SOLD
Hi, was really wanting them to be collected. The rubber set is quite heavy and by the time it's all packaged up I wouldn't know what the cost of postage or courier would be. Hi, just been doing some checking online and I see that most of the parcel/courier services will do collection and delivery back to you. They mostly appear to be around £10. If you want to go down that route I'd rather you sort and pay for your own courier to collect from me and deliver to you. I don't know what the weight would be as I haven't weighed the parcel yet. I'll drop to £55 if that helps.

2024 Road Tax Renewal
I have a 66 plate Octavia registered Jan 2017 Octavia. It got in before the change in April 2017. I don't pay road tax. I've been thinking lately of changing the car but in view of the way that tax and insurance is spiralling out of control I'll probably just keep it going until it drops. It's a 1.6 diesel with only 40,000 miles on the clock and easily get 50 mpg local driving and can get up to 75 mpg on a long run. Still wouldn't be surprised if they started charging road tax for mine in the future though ☹️

Declaring window tints
I think a lot depends on the insurer. When I got my Octavia 4 years ago I wanted to have window tints fitted and when I contacted my insurer at the time I was told they wouldn't accept it so I just left it at that. When my insurance was due for renewal I went with a different company and they agreed to insure with tints at no extra cost. I think I've changed insurers again since then and not had the tints knocked back as long as it's declared.

Silbury Skoda - Cramlington..
Glad you feel that you had decent service from Pulmans. My feelings are the exact opposite. If you read my post further up you'll see my dealings with them. Amazingly my car has passed a further 3 MOTs without mention of leaking shocks. When needed I now use a very good indie at Blyth.

Mini or micro
I'm intending to fit a piggy back fuse connector in the engine compartment fuse box. Is the fuses in there classed as standard, mini or micro ? To be sure I get the correct piggy back connector. Cheers.

Wheel Nuts & Rear hubs
The plastic wheel nut caps are grey anyway and they all discolour through time. Maybe this is what you're describing as "misty" .

"Misting" Front Shock Absorbers??????
Two years ago while having my Octavia serviced at the local stealer I was informed that both front dampers were leaking and would happily charge me £320 each side to replace them ! I asked them to show me this in their workshop but they gave me a load of guff about health and safety and wouldn't do it. I took the car home and a few days later I jacked the car up both sides and couldn't see any leakage what so ever. The car has passed two MOTs since then.
