Whats your Points Per Day on each Computer?

Featured Replies

Having had each of my PCs both finish a 153 scoring unit each recently I thought it would be good to check the logs and see how long it took each machine to score that, thereby working out each ones points per day (just based on that unit, obviously is variable with type of unit assigned to it ;))

My results are:

XP2200+ 1 Gig Ram - 153 points in 25 hours 1 minute - 146 points a day

AMD-64 3500+ clocked to 2.45ghz - 153 points in 16 hours 57 minutes - 216 points a day

Have to say, the AMD-64 is doing pretty OK on its own - Would like to get a better chip in it - one which can use the decent board and be clocked further than 10% - but the best thing is my XP2200+ dated machine is up there and doing damn well on the folding, considering the relatively old technology. Chuffed to bits with its progress on folding at home.

SO.... :D What are your machines doing at the moment. Obviously it will take a select few of you quite some time to research this.;) but I'd like to hear how other people's machines are doing on the project.

I've got this info at home for a p4 1.6 and a p4 3.0 - I'll post up the results later! Both PCs are working on 153 point units as well at the mo.... so it should be a 'real' comparison ;)

How do you know what they'll score in advance? I've yet to find out that information. :o

Look up the unit's number on this list:

It also tells you the number of days etc

All the Best

 Never seen that before. Is nice to know now what I get in advance. Its been a bit of guesswork for me lately. :o

My main machine is working on two lots of 2107. They're worth 404 points each  :D :D :D

Previous batch were for the same 2107 so 35hrs:12min:02secs = 127,722 seconds = 1.47 days.

It works out at about 273 points/day/core so multiply that by two, so about 546 points per day. on my lil' beast

I love my X2 :D

Which X2 is it Xav? The 4200+ @ 2 x 2.2ghz seems reasonable value at £250 brand new? I assume that would plug straight into my Asus S939 board? ;):D

Can't afford that kind of outlay at the moment though. :(

LOL @ all you serious folding boys. My (one) laptop is averaging 74 points per day atm according to Electron Microscope.

Just checked my 2...

the P4 1.6 takes on average 2.24 days to complete a 153 pointer.... so that's 69 points a day - altho overall it's more like 64 points a day....

the P4 3.0 takes on average 1.24 days to complete a 153 pointer.... so that's 125 points a day - altho overall it's more like 122 points a day....

not 'fantastic' but it still means an average of the best part of 200 points a day :) and that'll do me! Would like to contribute more but I've already got em both running 24/7 which is putting my leccy bill up!!

I can't be bothereed checking it out. It would probably take the best part of a day to find out them all.... :D

Nah, I got the lowest-spec one. 3800+ I think it was for about

Hmmm. the San Diego chips are fairly decent value on Ebuyer, although so is your X2 in relative processing power terms? If the 3800+ X2 is £212 and the 3700+ is £149 - Is the X2 a better bang for you buck chip?

And these "arctic heatsink fans" they any better than the OEM ones? If they provide really good cooling, the £15 price tag seems well worth it. :D

Can someone please give me a numpty's guide on how to find out what mine is doing?
