WINDOWS NOISES..

Featured Replies

Well just yesterday when dropping driver's window down, i heard a "cracking" like noise and occurs only when going down the glass. When closing it no mysterious sounds - just smoothly rolling in the rails to the top.

It happened also to all other windows !  Also in the back doors.

Noises were coming from the back of the card  doors , most possibly from the window mechanisms..

On the closing nothing heard from all windows.

Just today the passenger's side is silent as should be, while the driver's produces the cracking noise yet, and the back still crack..

Wondring what could be the issue as all windows work normally and no any stack at any point.

Car is 8 years, just any lubrication maybe needed as years could have dried out the systems?

Thanx - regards

will be the mech creaking, they sometimes do it when getting worn/hot weather or not used for a while.

whip the door card off and WD40 and re-grease and should be ok.

there is a way around, drop the window half way and spray some wd40 down the glass past the rubber on both side and move the glass up and down (on the motor)  for a bit should cure it ..if not cards off

Thanks Gissin - yes the windows are not used much....epsecially the back-door ones can pass a month with no moving at all!

But driver's is used more or less but these winter times not fully opened - just 1/3 the most....so this one specificlly should be noiseless though...

I thought also of some lubrication should treat well so it'll be done in a spare time as working all day long..!
