This is the model and trim I've ordered (it will be here in April) and I'd love to know if:-

 

1) Did the car come with black plastic protection fitted on the bottom of the car and around the wheel arches?

2) When you lock the car on the outside (with the key) is there an audible sound when it locks, and do the wing mirrors automatically retract?

3) On engine startup, do the speedometer and tachometer needles rotate round and then return to zero?

4) Does it come with the Jumbo box in the armrest? (a reversible storage box)

Thats the one I've ordered.

 

1.     yes, I've added the rough road package too. (The RRP is extra sorry)

2.     Yes they do and yes it beeps.  (I've watch a video on Youtube so I know its correct haha)

3.     This is called a 'needle sweep' and the Kodiaq has it, unsure if this is the same for the karoq.  Perhaps someone who has one can confirm/deny this feature.

4.     No, the jumbo box is an optional extra. There are Thermo-electric cooling box part number (15 1) 5LO 065 400, and a thermo-electric cooling box (20 1) 000 065 400G and they can be found on page 25 of the Skoda genuine accessories brochure.  See HERE.        There IS storage under the arm rest between the front seats which has a reversible/removable tray cum storage thingy.

I've seen it on quite a few non-VRS Skoda's. It is on my 2014 FL Superb Mk II and as a 1.6d, its definitely not a VRS or Sportline job!

 

I'd be a bit surprised if its not on the latest Karoq's....

This. Easy enough, I enabled it on my current SEAT Leon via VCDS. (alternatively use OBDleven)

It IS standard, but not sure about the karoq

Not standard on my Edition. I have enabled it (using VCDS) on my Octavia Scout so at some stage I might plug the cable into the Karoq and have a play. 

If anyone in the West Midlands with VCDS would care to PM me I might ask them to activate some things when I collect my Karoq Edition in April :-)

Would a dealer be able to activate stuff like the needle sweep when I finally collect the care??

Not officially. They have the equipment to do it, but few would risk supporting unofficial mods.
