Featured Replies

hi i have 08 vrs skoda octavia i was looking 2 fit a tow bar on to it i got a bosal part number is 033491and my mechanic thats does my work says it doesn't line up that he would have 2 drill the chassis he didn't take the bumper of he just done measurements he said but that part number is saying that tow bar fits my car please i need information cheers

Try checking the part number against your car on the  P F Jones website

5 Octavia's and never needed to have any holes drilled as all the fixing holes are already in the chassis.

Look for witter tow bar and download the fitting PDF.

My detachable Westfalia fitted my Oct 2 Scout without issue and holes were already there.  Sadly the tow bar set up is different on an Oct 3 so will get rid and by the correct one

I managed 2 get the towbar fitted am looking 2 wire it for the lights now were can I get the power for the smart box

The Westfalia I fitted came with a dedicated loom that wired back to the fuse box ( it had to be wired to the abs wire / fuse from memory). The only real pain was I had to remove some of the wires from the back of the fuse box which I managed using some split pins.  Since then I bought a set of specific tools for this purpose and they were about £5 for the kit.

dependant on what else yours needs (or doesn't) to be wired to then you may be able to pick up what you need in the boot.
