Hi all.

Just joined this forum after 3 years of running my octavia.

Previous to Octavia i ran a citroen c4 1.6hdi which self destructed on the M6 at 70mph! Octavia is at VT point so will be looking for a Superb next. Can't fault my Octavia, been a great car, and with having a toddler to transport about, it still amazes me how much stuff the boot will swallow!

I used to work at citroen so the guys that i used to work with were good with me when i took it there. Once it was out of warranty i just used to service it myself as used to work in motor trade.

When it self destructed, my wee one was due so it was a bit of a panic to get a car. I did get a mk2 61 plate octavia first, but

there were a few issues with it so i returned it to the dealer and thats when i got my mk3 octavia. Got it on the 0% pcp deal with free servicing and a few extras thrown in from the dealer to make up for issues with the used one. Having a new car with the servicing and warranty suits me just now as with a 3 yr old toddler ive no time (or desire!) to be outside working on a car!

I had nothing but trouble bad service form the Citroen Dealers at one service they never moved the car from the car park i was on to them by that point got my money back sold it never again will Citroen have my money.

Welcome to Briskoda, my only experiance with citroen was their  hdi engine in a ford c max which cut out on the motorway at 70mph!

Thanks for the welcome, pretty much the same thing happened to mine but it was terminal! Once i got it recovered home eventually after a 10 hr journey, i stripped it down and found this and that was the end of my citroen owning days!
