Featured Replies

hi, my 09 petrol has been letting me down lately, it just turns over but wont quite  fire up, it will  be ok for a few days then bang, il be parked in town and it wont start, sometimes if left for hours it starts again, other times it hammers the battery, just replaced the battery, alternators fine, computer is showing no fault, ive been advised to check key chips(both keys fail to start it so not sure how that helps)?? also that it could be a faulty starter, any skoda genius' have any idea? thanks

Aye dead on lol

faulty ignition barrel or issue with immobiliser would be my guess

Or faulty crank position sensor. Lots of posts on this. Use the search facility to see.

I seem to remember there is another sensor that causes this too but I can't remember which one. Perhaps others here have a better memory.......?
