Octavias are like buses...

Featured Replies

...you wait for ages, then loads come along at once. Here's a little story I hope you will enjoy.

I collected my lovely 1.8T vRS Estate yesterday, but due to a c*ck-up by my insurance agent, I didn't have a valid cover note ready to go. Since the car was untaxed, I didn't want to risk driving it without a disc in the window.

So I left it safe and secure at work, whispered "goodnight" into its wing mirror, and took the train home. Is that a violin I can hear ?

Off the train at the other end, and start walking the 2 miles back to my house.

Started thinking about the new car, and how few you see of them on the roads round my way (Basingstoke). I've never seen a vRS estate here, though there are a couple of hatches about, I think. This brought a smile to my face, as I was comforted by the fact that it's not a "common" car. Not exactly exotic I know, but not necessarily something you see every day...

Two seconds later I walked past a parked vRS hatch.

Then a black vRS Estate drove past me and disappeared into the distance

I know what you mean. Octy 2 are becoming more and more common now, when I got mine seven or so months ago i'd only spotted a couple of ambient spec hatches, now i've seen loads of elegance spec estates!

I'd have just left the statement at that - sounds more reasonale...

I know what you mean though, every man and his dog has a Fabia vRS these days, annoys the hell out of me.

You havent noticed the taxis around Basingstoke then !!
