Just done oil and filter change oil filter stunk of petrol and exhaust has pure oil in advice please 

It's a TSI I assume?  Sounds like blow by past the rings, or a combination of that plus turbo seals or valve guides worn.  Does it smoke on hard acceleration?

 

 

Pistons/rings?

There is always smoke there but it is never excessive 

Any smoke is a bad sign from a petrol engine.

And, unlucky me, my crystal ball broke last night. So you have to give some details, like engine type, mileage, age, how much oil does the car consume, etc.

O, and some punctuation does make your posts much easier to read.
