PCP Handback and PID

Featured Replies

Handing back my Citigo this week and was wondering if I will be charged for the missing PID. Is this something that BCA will check for (and charge for) ?

Probably. I’m sure it was stated as having to be present when my wife handed hers back. It’s not a consumable part.

Yes and yes

How strict are they ?  The car is overall in excellent condition apart from a small dent/crease which hasn’t broken the paint.  I’ve uploaded a photo and would be grateful for views as to whether this will be charged and if so how much.  Thanks

Looks similar to what I had on mine. Was charged £120 plus VAT

Anything over 10mm will be charged - but the charge is MUCH less than you could have it repaired for - unless your car is completely covered.

My daughter gave back a mini 6 months ago.

To me the car wash trashed - more mileage - every alloy damaged - 6 or 8 dents - nearly 1 on every panel - hole in lower rear bumper - lower front corners of bumper scratched.

Dirty as hell on inside.

I spent maybe 12 hours cleaning and polishing it.

Guy charged her just for scratches on 2 wheels and the mileage... - I think the 2 wheels were £60 total for the repair - I had just had one done on another car at £70 - so no arguing with their price

That was BMW - but they all follow similar standards as they use external companies to inspect and collect.
