As a new owner of a used 2014 Octavia estate, I like to keep all the records up to date.

there was no service history book with the car but a print out of all the works done up to date which have tallied up.

my question is, do Skoda not provide a service book any more, or is it a case mine is missing.

Correct, no service book for 2014 cars - mine is the same year. 

 

Just print outs. Also there is a record on the Skoda system. 

 

I now take mine to an indy, so you have to be sure to keep the receipts.

Shame really, I’m in Ireland and it’s a car Imported from the UK, so not sure if Skoda Ireland are the same, but probably are.

You should still be able to get the history from Skoda. I have a print out from the dealer who serviced my car until I bought it with all the services and mileage data but it’s not fully itemised. My local dealer provided an itemised bill for the 80k service on the Octy and the 10k service on the Citigo without me having to ask.

If you load the My Skoda app on your phone and enter the VIN you should get the service history.

Ya that app was spot on. I can see it was serviced by Michell Skoda so might be able to get full breakdown now.

That was a typeo above, no defrost required

mines December 2013 with no history book. Luckley enough its got all the print outs when work has been done on it.
