I notice in the news today that the biggest recall in history is taking place on Takata airbags,many fitted to Australian Skoda's,and wondered if anyone else has heard anything about it?

This issue has been discussed for years, or at least Takata's name has been linked with "naughty goings ons" so I wonder if Oz is being smart in the way they are taking a lead from US - and if so, are we getting kept in the dark, or what?

When eventually Skoda / VW Group vehicles are part of it, and there are some, it will be here.

That's the sort of way I was thinking; I've owned a car that was subject to an airbag recall and I got a letter from the importer giving the sorts of details on the "check recall" link.
