Skoda Octavia 2005-Wipe washer pump not workingwater

Hi All-

Need help/advice on my Skoda Octavia 1.4 petrol year 2005- I was driving in bad snowing freezing weather today to purchase petrol from local fuel station, I tried to use washer wiper pump nothing happened/ I would be obliged if someone could help? is it a fuse problem or other problem was working yesterday- reservoir full of water- no sound from wiper washer pump to indicate it is working.

Water? Or screen wash? Could be frozen,

Thank you for your prompt reply - I will put car I my garage overnight/ and try tomorrow/ maybe water+ screen wash will defrost- Kind regards* Tony  

Most likely frozen, continued operation will burn the pump motor out or blow the fuse.

 

If it's full of water there won't be an easy and quick fix.

 

You could try topping the reservoir up with neat -70°C screenwash and waiting, engine heat should eventually help melt the contents of the reservoir and pipes and allow the slush mix through.  Refill with a screenwash mix of at least -15°C rating.

 

Supermarket -5°C is no use as it freezes in the jets.
