Stainless Steel Exhaust VRS

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has fitted an aftermarket stainless steel exhaust on a VRS? Is it worth it? What brand? Average price?

I bumped the estate exhaust thread as it might help.

there are other similar threads if you search.

Where are you?  there are good custom exhaust builders around the UK.

Cambridgeshire.

When we got our car in 2014 it transpired the previous owner had already fitted a cat back stainless steel, and yes the short answer is it's worth it. Ours isn't overly loud, but has a nice burble to it when in idle and sounds good under acceleration. Ours isn't Miltek, think it was custom made local to the previous owner.

Most of the major stainless steel exhaust manufacturers will sort you out but will pay a premium for those,

I had mine made up by Tony Banks in Leeds. The reason I travelled so far away for it was because of his good reputation for the work he does. After a small adjustment, as it was a bit too loud for me when first built, it has just the sound I am after. Cost was £360.
