I don't know how many have tried the Skoda AR app - (Augmented Reality I believe)

I've only just found it and I'm having a first play while I wait for my 1.5TSI

 

It is specifically for the Karoq only, and you simply aim your phone at any flat surface, press the button and a 3D Karoq appears, in this case, on my desktop

You can move round it, change the size, open the doors and boot and move inside it - - and change the colour if you don't want Meteor Grey!

 

Looking forward to more of a play in daylight

Impressive isn't it!

Its so detailed. You can zoom right in on everything.

Even the mechanism under the seats is there.

How did you get the app??

 

I have found it on my iPad, but the 'get' button is greyed out so cannot download it.  

Never mind, done it on the iPhone.

Do you need a vr headset?

I've just noticed the android one is vr not ar and when I start it the screen just goes black so I guess you need a vr headset to use it.

Brilliant app! Makes you wonder why ŠKODA can’t get their other apps and online POI software to work...

It works with my iPhone 7Plus without a VR headset. 

 

Maybe someone else who uses Android can supply further info?

I think the ar ap is only for iphone

It’s funny I found the app AFTER I bought the car. Marketing fail.

Olly which dealer did you use may I ask?

The app is Augmented Reality, not VR.  It works OK on my iPhone 6s, but there's no version for Android or iPad.   The one on Android is VR and can be used with Google Cardboard instead of the expensive glasses. 

 

Shame the colours are nothing like the real thing.  Can't tell which is meant to be business grey but it's cool nonetheless.
