I tryed starting my 1.4 tdi 57 plate skoda fabia this morning and the dash didn't light up when i turned the ignition on. I then when to start the engine and it started fine but cut out after a second or so. I have tryed it multiple times and nothing changes. All the radio and interior lights work any idea's what it could be?

Similar to immobiliser faults! You got the correct key? Not damaged it?  Try the other key, if you have it. Try disconnecting the battery earth for five mins and pop it back on and try again.

Could you tell me if it happens only on a hot day, first start of the day , rest of the day it's fine?
