Tightening of lower control arm bolt on 2010 Octavia VRS mk2 FL

Featured Replies

Anyone on here Know what I need to torque the bolt to on the lower control arm after I have replaced my rear coils. Is it a stretch bolt, therefore requiring a certain amount of degrees after torque?

Thanks,

Many thanks MicMAc. Very clear diagrams and instructions you have sent so I will save a few pennies not going to the garage. Skoda garages are very limited on what they tell you. They wouldn't even tell me the correct springs I require for my car without me buying them. Now waiting for my new springs to arrive! I found the correct springs through a link you have posted previously.

You are welcome.

Bolt number 10 Nut 11 90Nm plus 90 degrees

You'll find it quite hard to get the 90 degrees on the bolt when working on the car on axle stands due to clearance issues (and my weedy arms). I just did it as much as I could after achieving 90Nm.

(I had to edit this as I gave wrong information - getting confused with Fabia rear springs vs Octavia rear springs - I've done both)
