I need my first set of brake pads, what is best Skoda OEM (which I am aware will probably be Lucas in a different box at twice the cost) or after market (Lucas / Ferodo / Minex)?

I assume that aftermarket pads complete complete with wear sensors

I bought Lucas pads with a wear indicator wore - sadly the connector on the pad was the same gender as the one on the car

This is easily fixed if you're OK with simple wiring though.

Have you checked the price of genuine pads?

I think you would be suprised.

As Lummox said, OEM are actually decent priced. Aftermarket pads are only benificial if you work the brakes hard (on trackdays, etc). The OEM pads are surprisingly good, same goes for the discs
