Thanks

Welcome.

Give us a clue then.

What car at what age and how many miles.

Is it an Auto or a DSG .

Is it pads you are changing is it the Discs and Pads?

Do you have tools to wind back if required, is it read discs or drums,  so many questions.

Skoda rapid 2013, 77k miles auto

Discs and pads needs changing and have got a wind back piston tool

You could have it in P while you do the rear if the front wheels are on the ground.

Parking (Hand brake needs to be off).   Just common sense and safety first stuff.

Are you changing the Brake Fluid while at it?

I thought if you put it in p (park) the brakes won't release the disc and off course safety as always and I wasn't thinking about it it's just the discs are crazing and pads are right down ad pics

Park on an automatic or DSG sets the gearbox in park, does not work in conjuction with the brakes as the 2 are seperate system on most vehicle's, change the brake pads and discs in the same way as a vehicle with a manual gearbox.
