SE L number plate lights

Featured Replies

Does anyone with a facelift SE L spec Octavia have any pics of the number plate lights or be able to tell me if they’ll fit the pre-facelift?

I’ve got LED replacements for my 16 plate but they’re pretty bright and sometimes the number plate isn’t that readable... thanks! :)

Can't help you on the facelift part...

But if you're after LED number plate lights, grab the Skoda ones (000 052 110) and set the dimmwert value around 70. Look perfectly OEM, fit pre-facelift and not too bright.

You could probably dim the existing LEDs you have too if the brightness is the issue. Though personally non OEM LEDs usually stand out as being a bit too blue-ish.

Thanks! The ones I have fit perfectly and are bright white. After sitting behind my car with them on they’re just a bit too bright!

Do you have access to VCDS or OBDEleven etc? Anyone with either of those should be able to reduce the brightness through an adaptation value change.

You must have coded or had them coded when you fit the LEDs to avoid the bulb error?

All I’ve got is the Carista reader, and the LEDs I have came with adapter things that plug in, they obviously stop the error code from showing.

It’s deffo worth setting the dimmwert value down. I have proper VAG LED modules in my car and at standard brightness, after the coding adaption, they are still too bright. Much better with the value set to 70 :) Don’t think you can do that on Carista though, but it’s only a few clicks away on OBDEleven.

Any chance you got a link to those that you have? Mine are far too dim and need a serious upgrade.
