ECU Issue? - car not turning over

Featured Replies

Hi guys..... so I tried to play mechanic today and flashed a map (I tried to add antilag/nls), and my injection timings were seriously off (fuel pump kept cutting out every few seconds). I tried to reflash my original stage 2 map, and well, it wouldnt flash, kept coming up with errors.

I then removed the ECU with the battery disconnected (Tried to get it into boot mode), and gave up half way, and plugged it back in. Now when I try to turn the engine over, the fuel pump relay isnt coming on..... any ideas as to what I've done wrong, bearing in mind that I'm very far from an expert. The immobiliser light comes on ignition for a few secs then turns off

The left connector on the ECU was so hard to put in and even now its not fully in, its extruding in comparison with the connector on the right, so maybe thats the problem I guess, but then again surely I would get an engine light on the dash if that was the case(I guess)?

I flashed the old ECU file again today, in boot mode, and read it again, and the checksum is fine, so my ECU software is intact....

Replaced in car, same issue, no fuel pump.... any ideas to what could be wrong?

Appreciate any suggestions

thank you

I've no idea re flashed image

However before you do anything investigate the protuding connector - you've probably bent a pin or there is a foreign body getting in the way

Fixed :) ECU connector wasnt in all the way. Nothing a hammer didnt fix! My map was also faulty and I had therefore had to read EEPROM and clear death code etc.... At least its sorted now :)
