Changing Stereo Head Unit

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a 57 plate VRS with this stereo system with this stereo head unit.

I want to upgrade to Bluetooth for both calls and music, but am keen to keep the interior looking smart. Would this work?

I am reluctant to get a garish aftermarket one, unless I have to.

Cheers

Cheers Cryonut,

That looks like a smart piece of kit.

I'll have a look into it.

Just be aware of the differences in spec, I paid £230 for my unit in October shipped from China,  it's has 2 Gb ram and 32 Gb rom with android 7, I see there are now similar units with 1Gb ram 16Gb rom with android 8 for a hell af a lot more money just because they are shipped from Europe.

The problem I've found with many of these Android head units is finding one that will work with 2004-2009 pre facelift model as most are listed for 2009-13 models

Theres another recent thread on here somewhere where somebody's fitted 1 to a 2006/7 with no problems.
